Music Tracks
You can create and share original music tracks directly from the Posts composer. With the Music Mode toggle, you can transform any post into a music track by adding details like track title, genre, and mood. Your tracks will appear in the Music section and can be showcased on your profile with a dedicated Music layout.
Creating Music Tracks
To create a music track:
- Open the Posts composer (click "New Post")
- Click the "Music Mode" toggle button in the action bar
- Upload your audio file using the audio upload button
- Fill in your track details:
- Track Title (required)
- Genre (optional)
- Mood (optional)
- Confirm that the music is your original work
- Set visibility (who can see and listen)
- Publish your track
Adding a Thumbnail Image to Your Track
You can add a custom thumbnail image to your music track to make it stand out. This image will appear as the cover art for your track in the Music section and on your profile.
To add a thumbnail image to your music track:
- While creating your music track in the Posts composer, add photos to your post using the photo upload button
- The first image you add will automatically be used as the track's thumbnail
- You can add multiple images if you'd like, but the first one will serve as the cover art
- Make sure your thumbnail image is high quality and represents your track well
Pro Tip: Choose an image that captures the mood or vibe of your track. This thumbnail will be the first thing listeners see, so make it count! Square images (1:1 aspect ratio) work best for music track thumbnails.
