Favorites & Saving Content
The heart icon on posts isn't a public "like" - it's a way to save content for later. When you click the heart icon on a post, you're adding it to your personal Favorites Deep Dive. Every user has their own automatically created "Favorites" deep dive where all favorited content is saved. Favorites help you save posts you want to revisit, and they also help LavishMade curate your feed with content you're interested in.
How Favorites Work
Unlike traditional social media "likes," favorites in LavishMade are:
- Saved to Your Favorites Deep Dive: Every item you favorite is automatically added to your personal "Favorites" deep dive - a special deep dive created just for you
- Private by Default: Only you can see what you've favorited - it's not a public action (though you can make your Favorites deep dive public if you want to share it)
- For Saving: Think of favorites as bookmarks to save posts you want to revisit
- Feed Curation: Favoriting tags and categories helps personalize your feed
- Personal Collection: Build your own curated collection of content you love, organized in your Favorites deep dive
How to Favorite a Post

How Favorites Help Curate Your Feed
Your favorites play an important role in personalizing your LavishMade experience:
- Content Discovery: Favoriting tags and interests helps LavishMade understand what you like
- Feed Personalization: Your dashboard feed becomes more relevant to your interests
- Discover New Creators: See content from users you don't follow if it matches your favorited tags/interests
- Better Recommendations: The more you favorite, the better LavishMade gets at showing you content you'll enjoy
This helps LavishMade understand what you're interested in and surface more relevant content in your feed, even from users you don't follow. It's a powerful way to discover new content and creators.
