Adding Photos
You can add photos to your posts to share images, moments, and visual content with your community. Posts support multiple photos, and you can arrange them in different layouts.
How to Add Photos to a Post
There are several ways to add photos to your posts:
- Start creating a new post
- Click the photo icon or image upload button
- Select one or more photos from your device
- Photos will appear in a preview grid
- You can rearrange photos by dragging them
- Add any additional text, hashtags, or content you'd like
- Publish your post
Adding Photos to an Existing Post
You can also add photos to a post you're already editing:
- While editing a post, click the photo icon
- Select additional photos from your device
- New photos will be added to your existing photos
- Remember: you can add up to 10 photos total per post
Photo Upload Limits
- Maximum Photos: You can add up to 10 photos per post
- File Size: Each photo must be less than 25 MB
- Supported Formats: PNG, JPEG, GIF, HEIC, and HEIF
Tip: If you're having trouble uploading photos, make sure your files are in a supported format and under the size limit. Large files may take longer to upload depending on your internet connection.
Arranging Your Photos
Once you've added photos to your post, you can arrange them:
- Drag and Drop: Click and drag photos to rearrange their order
- Remove Photos: Click the X or remove button on a photo to remove it from your post
- Photo Order: The order you arrange photos in is how they'll appear in your published post
Photo Layouts
Your photos will be displayed based on your post's layout setting:
- Classic Layout: Automatically arranges photos in a smart grid based on the number of photos
- Banner Layout: Displays photos in a wide, horizontal format
- Slider Layout: Creates a carousel that readers can swipe through
- Quote Layout: Photos can be used as background images for quote posts

Photo Best Practices
- Image Quality: Upload high-quality images for the best results
- File Size: Optimize your images before uploading to reduce file size while maintaining quality
- Photo Order: Arrange photos in the order you want them to appear
- Mix Content: Combine photos with text, hashtags, and other content for engaging posts
- Consider Layout: Choose a layout that best showcases your photos
- Multiple Photos: Use multiple photos to tell a story or show different angles
Supported Image Formats
LavishMade supports the following image formats:
- PNG: Great for images with transparency or graphics
- JPEG: Best for photos and images with many colors
- GIF: Supports animated images
- HEIC/HEIF: Modern format used by Apple devices
Troubleshooting
My photo won't upload
- Check that your photo is in a supported format (PNG, JPEG, GIF, HEIC, or HEIF)
- Make sure your photo is under 25 MB
- Check your internet connection - large files require a stable connection
- Try refreshing the page and uploading again
- If the problem persists, try converting your image to JPEG format
I can't add more than 10 photos
- The maximum number of photos per post is 10
- If you need to share more photos, consider creating multiple posts
- You can remove existing photos to make room for new ones
My photos are in the wrong order
- You can rearrange photos by dragging them in the preview
- Click and hold on a photo, then drag it to the desired position
- The order in the preview is how they'll appear in your published post
My photo looks blurry or low quality
- Make sure you're uploading the original, high-quality version of your photo
- Check that your photo isn't being compressed before upload
- Use JPEG format for photos (it's optimized for photographic content)
- Ensure your photo is at least 1000px wide for best display quality
Adding Photos to Reposts
When reposting content, you can add photos to your repost commentary:
- Start creating a repost
- Add your commentary text
- Click the photo icon to add photos to your repost
- Your photos will appear above the original content in the repost
