Audio

You can add audio to your posts in several ways: by embedding music from Spotify, uploading your own audio files, or recording voice memos directly in your browser.

Embedding Music from Spotify

The easiest way to add music to your post is by embedding it from Spotify. Simply paste a Spotify URL directly into your post content, and LavishMade will automatically convert it into an embedded music player.

How to Embed Spotify Music

  1. Start creating a new post
  2. Copy a Spotify URL for a track, album, playlist, artist, or episode
  3. Paste the URL directly into the post content area
  4. The URL will automatically be converted into an embedded Spotify player
  5. You'll see a preview of the embedded player
  6. Add any additional text, photos, or content you'd like
  7. Publish your post

Supported Spotify Content

  • Tracks: Individual songs from Spotify
  • Albums: Full albums
  • Playlists: Curated playlists

Adding Audio to a Repost

When reposting content, you can add audio by pasting a Spotify URL in your repost commentary. You can also upload an audio file or record a voice memo when creating your repost commentary.

Audio Best Practices

  • Use Spotify Embeds When Possible: Embedding from Spotify is fast and doesn't require upload time
  • Optimize Your Audio Files: For best results, use MP3 format at a reasonable bitrate (128-192 kbps)
  • Consider File Size: Larger audio files take longer to upload
  • Add Context: Include text or captions with your audio to provide context for your audience
  • Respect Copyright: Make sure you have the rights to share any audio content you upload
  • Test Your Recording: For voice memos, listen to your recording before posting to make sure it sounds good

Troubleshooting

My Spotify music isn't embedding

  • Make sure you're using a Spotify URL (open.spotify.com)
  • Check that the URL is complete and correct
  • Try copying the URL directly from Spotify's share menu
  • Some private or restricted content may not embed - make sure the content is publicly viewable

My audio upload failed

  • Check that your audio file is in a supported format (MP3, WebM, M4A, or WAV)
  • Make sure your audio file is under 50 MB
  • Check your internet connection - large files require a stable connection
  • Try refreshing the page and uploading again
  • If the problem persists, try compressing your audio file or converting it to MP3 format

I can't record a voice memo

  • Make sure your browser has permission to access your microphone
  • Check your browser settings - some browsers require explicit microphone permissions
  • Try using a different browser if the issue persists
  • Make sure you're using a modern browser that supports audio recording (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
  • Check that no other application is using your microphone

My audio isn't playing

  • Check that the audio file uploaded successfully
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Check your internet connection
  • For Spotify embeds, make sure the content is still available on Spotify
  • Try playing the audio in a different browser or device

Tip: Audio is a great way to share music, podcasts, voice notes, or any audio content. Whether you're embedding from Spotify, uploading your own files, or recording voice memos, audio adds a personal and engaging element to your posts!
