How do I create and customize my profile?
Your profile is your personal space on our platform. Here's how to set it up:
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select "Edit Profile"
- In the "Profile Picture" section, click "Change" to upload a new photo
- For your cover photo, scroll to the "Cover Photo" section and click "Upload"
- Add your bio and interests in the "About Me" section
- To customize your profile's appearance:
- Scroll to "Custom CSS" to add your own styles
- In "Custom Background", paste a URL for your background image
- Under "Display Preferences", choose your content layout:
- "Tabbed View" - Switch between content types using tabs
- "Two Column View" - Show posts and blogs side by side
- "Single Stream" - Display all content in one feed
Remember to click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page to apply your updates.
How do I manage my content and posts?
You have several options for managing your content:
- To create a new post:
- From your hub (home page "/"), use the post creation area
- Or go directly to the "New Post" page at "/posts/new"
- Add text, upload images, or tag your location
- Choose visibility (Public, Friends Only, or Private)
- For blog posts:
- Click "Blog" in the top navigation
- Select "New Post"
- Use the rich text editor to format your content
- Set visibility and subscription options
- To manage photos:
- Go to "Photos" in your profile
- Click "Create Album" to organize your photos
- Use "Upload Photos" to add new images
- To control content visibility:
- Edit any post or blog to change its visibility
- Go to Profile Settings → Display Preferences to show/hide content types
- Use the three-dot menu on any post to enable/disable comments
For blog monetization, visit your blog settings and click "Set Up Paid Subscriptions" to create subscription tiers.
How do I manage my privacy settings?
You have full control over your privacy on our platform. Here's how to manage your settings:
- To access privacy settings:
- Click your profile picture → "Settings"
- Select "Privacy & Data" from the navigation
- Manage friend requests:
- Go to your hub (home page "/") and scroll to the bottom
- Find the "Friend Requests" section to see your latest requests
- Click "View All Requests" to access the full friends management page
- Use "Blocked Users" to manage blocked accounts
- Disable friend requests:
- Go to your profile edit page at "/edit"
- Scroll to the bottom to find "Privacy & Access Settings"
- Toggle "Disable friend requests from other users" to prevent new requests
- Control comments:
- In Profile Settings, find "Comments Enabled"
- Toggle to enable/disable comments on your profile
- For individual posts, use the three-dot menu
- Manage analytics:
- Go to Privacy Settings
- Find "Analytics Tracking"
- Click "Disable Analytics" to opt out
- Export or delete data:
- In Privacy Settings, click "Export Data"
- Or select "Delete Account" to remove all your data
Remember to save your changes after updating any privacy settings.
How do I manage my friends and connections?
You have several options for managing your friends and controlling who can see your content:
- To manage friends:
- Go to your hub (home page "/") and scroll to the bottom
- Click "View All Requests" to access the full friends management page
- From there you can accept, decline, or manage existing friends
- To limit a friend:
- In the friends management section, find the friend you want to limit
- Choose "Limit Friend" option
- This allows them to post on your timeline, but only they will see the post
- To block someone:
- You can block friends or anyone from accessing your posts, profile, or blog posts
- Use the "Blocked Users" section in friends management
- Blocked users cannot see your content or interact with your profile
- To disable friend requests:
- Go to your profile edit page at "/edit"
- Scroll to "Privacy & Access Settings" at the bottom
- Toggle "Disable friend requests from other users"
These settings help you control who can interact with your content and profile.
How do I customize my content display?
You can customize how your content is displayed in several ways. Here's how to access each setting:
- To change your content layout:
- Go to your profile edit page at "/edit"
- Find the "Display Preferences" section
- Under "Content Display Mode", choose your preferred display:
- "Tabbed View" - Content organized in tabs
- "Single Stream View" - All content in one feed
- For custom styling:
- Scroll to "Custom CSS" in Profile Settings
- Add your CSS code in the text area
- Click "Browse layouts" to use pre-made themes
- To set a background:
- Go to your profile edit page at "/edit"
- Find "Custom Background" in Profile Settings
- Upload your own image or choose from Unsplash
- For content organization:
- Add hashtags to your posts (e.g., #travel)
- Visit the Interests page to follow topics
- Use the Browse section to discover new content
All display changes are saved automatically when you update your settings.
