Resetting Your Password
If you've forgotten your password or want to change it for security reasons, you can reset it using your email address. This guide covers how to reset your password and recover your account.
Resetting Your Password
To reset your password:
- Go to the login page
- Click "Forgot your password?" or "Reset password" link
- Enter the email address associated with your account
- Click "Send reset instructions" or "Reset password"
- Check your email for password reset instructions
- Click the reset link in the email (link expires after a set time)
- Enter your new password and confirm it
- Click "Change my password" or "Reset password"
Changing Your Password (When Logged In)
If you're already logged in and want to change your password:
- Go to Account Settings
- Find the "Password" section
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password
- Confirm your new password
- Click "Update Account" or "Change Password"
Password Requirements
Your password must meet these requirements:
- Be at least 8 characters long (longer is better)
- Include a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters
- Not be easily guessable (avoid common words, your name, etc.)
- Be unique to your LavishMade account (don't reuse passwords from other sites)
Password Reset Email
After requesting a password reset:
- You'll receive an email with reset instructions within a few minutes
- The email contains a secure link to reset your password
- The link expires after a certain period (typically 24 hours)
- You can only use the link once
- If the link expires, request a new password reset
If You Don't Receive the Reset Email
If you don't receive the password reset email:
- Check your spam or junk folder: Sometimes reset emails end up there
- Wait a few minutes: Emails can sometimes be delayed
- Check the email address: Make sure you entered the correct email address associated with your account
- Try again: Request a new password reset if needed
- Check email filters: Make sure emails from LavishMade aren't being blocked
Account Recovery
If you can't access your email or account:
- Make sure you're using the correct email address
- If you've changed your email, try your old email address
- Check if your account email was verified
- Contact support if you're unable to recover your account
Password Security Best Practices
- Use a strong, unique password: Don't reuse passwords from other sites
- Change your password regularly: Especially if you suspect it may have been compromised
- Don't share your password: Never give your password to anyone, including LavishMade staff
- Use a password manager: Consider using a password manager to generate and store strong passwords

- Be cautious of phishing: Never enter your password on sites that aren't LavishMade
After Resetting Your Password
Once you've successfully reset your password:
- You'll be automatically logged in with your new password
- You can use your new password to log in on all devices
- You may need to log in again on mobile apps or other devices
- Your old password will no longer work
