Changing Your Email Address

Your email address is used for account login, password resets, and important notifications. You can change it at any time, but you'll need to verify your new email address before it becomes active.

How to Change Your Email Address

  1. Go to Account Settings by clicking your profile picture and selecting "Account Settings" or visit the account settings page directly
  2. Find the "Email" section
  3. Enter your new email address in the email field
  4. Enter your current password to confirm the change
  5. Click "Update Account" or "Save Changes"

Email Verification

After changing your email address:

  • You'll receive a confirmation email at your new email address
  • Click the confirmation link in the email to verify your new email
  • Your old email address will remain active until you verify the new one
  • You can continue using your account with your old email until verification is complete

Important: You must verify your new email address. If you don't verify it, your account will continue using your old email address.

What Happens After Verification

Once you verify your new email address:

  • Your new email becomes your primary email address
  • You'll use your new email to log in
  • All future notifications and password resets will go to your new email
  • Your old email address is no longer associated with your account

Resending Verification Email

If you didn't receive the verification email:

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Make sure you entered the correct email address
  • Wait a few minutes - emails can sometimes be delayed
  • You can request a new verification email from your account settings

Email Address Requirements

Your email address must:

  • Be a valid email format (e.g., name@example.com)
  • Not already be in use by another LavishMade account
  • Be accessible to you (you need to be able to receive emails at this address)

  • You've switched to a new email provider
  • You want to use a more professional email address
  • Your old email account was compromised

  • You want to separate personal and professional accounts

Security Considerations

When changing your email address:

  • Make sure you have access to the new email address before changing
  • Verify the new email address immediately after changing
  • Don't use an email address you might lose access to
  • Keep your password secure - changing your email doesn't change your password

Common issues and solutions:

  • Can't change email: Make sure you've entered your current password correctly
  • Email already in use: The email address is already associated with another account. Use a different email or recover that account if it's yours.
  • Verification email not received: Check spam folder, wait a few minutes, or request a new verification email
  • Verification link expired: Request a new verification email from account settings
