Reporting vs. Blocking
Reporting and blocking serve different purposes:
- Reporting: Alerts our team to review content that may violate guidelines - helps protect the entire community
- Blocking: Prevents someone from interacting with you personally - protects you individually
You can both block and report someone. Blocking protects you immediately, while reporting helps protect the community.
False Reports
Please only report content that actually violates our guidelines:
- False or malicious reports waste moderation resources
- Repeated false reporting may result in restrictions on your account
- Report content because it violates guidelines, not because you disagree with it
Privacy of Reports
Your reports are confidential:
- The reported user will not know who reported them
- Only our moderation team can see your reports
- Your identity as a reporter is kept private
Tip: If you're unsure whether something violates our guidelines, you can still report it. Our moderation team will review it and determine if action is needed. It's better to report something that turns out to be okay than to let harmful content go unreported.
