Messaging

Messaging allows you to have private conversations with other users on LavishMade. You can send text messages, share content, and communicate one-on-one or in groups.

Starting a Conversation

To start a new conversation:

  1. Go to your messages or inbox
  2. Click "New Message" or the compose button
  3. Search for the user you want to message
  4. Select the user
  5. Type your message
  6. Send your message

You can also start a conversation from a user's profile by clicking the "Message" button.

Message Features

  • Text Messages: Send regular text messages
  • Content Sharing: Share posts, blog posts, or other content
  • Photos: Send photos in messages
  • Voice Memos: Record and send voice messages
  • Replies: Reply to specific messages in a conversation
  • Reactions: React to messages with emojis

Managing Conversations

You can manage your conversations:

  • View All: See all your conversations in your inbox
  • Search: Search for specific conversations or messages
  • Archive: Archive conversations you want to keep but don't need to see regularly
  • Delete: Delete conversations you no longer need

Message Privacy

Messages are private:

  • Only you and the recipient can see your messages
  • Messages are not visible to other users
  • Messages are not shown in public feeds
  • You can delete your own messages at any time

Message Notifications

You'll receive notifications when:

  • Someone sends you a new message
  • Someone replies to your message
  • Someone shares content with you

You can manage your message notification preferences in your account settings.

Blocking and Messaging

If you block someone:

  • They cannot send you messages
  • You cannot send them messages
  • Existing conversations may be archived

If someone blocks you, you won't be able to send them messages.

Reporting Inappropriate Messages

If you receive an inappropriate message:

  1. Open the message
  2. Click the three dots menu (⋯)
  3. Select "Report"
  4. Choose a reason (harassment, spam, inappropriate content, etc.)
  5. Submit your report

You can also block the user to prevent further messages.

Message Guidelines

Keep messages respectful:

  • Be respectful and kind
  • Don't send spam or unwanted promotional content
  • Don't harass or bully others
  • Don't send inappropriate content
  • Respect others' boundaries

Messages that violate our community guidelines may result in warnings, restrictions, or account bans.
