Comments

Comments allow you to engage with content and have conversations with other users. You can comment on posts, blog posts, photos, and other content on LavishMade.

How to Comment

To leave a comment:

  1. Find the content you want to comment on
  2. Scroll to the comments section
  3. Type your comment in the comment box
  4. You can mention other users with @username
  5. You can add photos or voice memos to comments
  6. Click "Post" or "Comment" to submit

Replying to Comments

You can reply to existing comments:

  • Click "Reply" on any comment
  • Type your reply
  • Your reply will appear nested under the original comment
  • Replies create threaded conversations

Comment Features

  • Mentions: Use @username to mention other users in your comments
  • Photos: Add photos to your comments
  • Voice Memos: Record and share voice memos in comments
  • Editing: Edit your comments after posting (within a time limit)
  • Deleting: Delete your own comments at any time

Who Can Comment?

Comment permissions depend on the content's visibility settings:

  • Public Content: Anyone can comment
  • Friends Only: Only friends can comment
  • Subscribers Only: Only subscribers can comment
  • Private Content: Only the content owner can comment

Content owners can also disable comments entirely on their posts or blog posts.

Managing Your Comments

You can manage your comments:

  • Edit: Click the edit button on your comment to modify it
  • Delete: Click delete to remove your comment permanently
  • View All: See all your comments from your profile

Comment Notifications

You'll receive notifications when:

  • Someone comments on your content
  • Someone replies to your comment
  • Someone mentions you in a comment (@username)

You can manage your comment notification preferences in your account settings.

Comment Guidelines

Keep comments respectful and constructive:

  • Be respectful and kind
  • Stay on topic
  • Don't spam or post repetitive content
  • Don't harass or bully others
  • Don't post inappropriate content

Comments that violate our community guidelines may be removed, and repeat offenders may face restrictions.

Reporting Inappropriate Comments

If you see an inappropriate comment:

  1. Click the three dots menu (⋯) on the comment
  2. Select "Report"
  3. Choose a reason (harassment, spam, inappropriate content, etc.)
  4. Submit your report

Our moderation team will review the comment and take appropriate action.
