Music Profile View

The Music profile view is a dedicated layout option that showcases all your tracks together in a beautiful, record store-inspired design. It's perfect for artists who want to create a music-focused presence on LavishMade.

What is the Music Profile View?

The Music profile view is a special layout option that:

  • Showcases Your Tracks: Displays all your music in a dedicated, music-focused layout
  • Record Store Vibe: Features a record store aesthetic with horizontal track listings
  • Auto-Play Playlists: Tracks are automatically set up in a continuous playlist
  • Easy Discovery: Visitors can easily browse and play all your tracks from one place

Enabling Music Profile View

To enable the Music profile view:

  1. Make sure you have at least one published music track (the option only appears if you have tracks)
  2. Go to your Profile Settings (click your profile picture → Settings → Profile)
  3. Find the "Profile View" section
  4. Select "Music" as your profile layout option
  5. Save your changes

Note: The Music profile view option will only appear in your settings if you have published at least one music track. If you don't see it, make sure you've created and published a track first.

The Music profile view includes:

  • Navigation Tabs: Links to Music, Thoughts, Photos, and Friends sections
  • Track Listings: Horizontal, Spotify-style track cards showing all your music
  • Connect Section: Friend and subscription options for visitors
  • Auto-Play Queue: Tracks automatically continue playing when one finishes

Desktop Layout

On desktop, the Music profile view features:

  • Left Sidebar: About section with your bio, status, and mood, plus Connect options
  • Main Content: Your tracks displayed as a vertical list of horizontal track cards
  • Navigation: Secondary navigation tabs for Music, Thoughts, Photos, and Friends

Mobile Layout

On mobile, the layout adapts to:

Auto-Play Queue

One of the key features of the Music profile view is the auto-play queue:

  • Visual Highlighting: The currently playing track is highlighted with a gold border
  • Active Track Indicator: The track currently playing has a light gold highlight/ring
  • Skip Anywhere: You can click any track to jump to it and start playing

This creates a seamless listening experience, similar to streaming platforms, where visitors can start at any track and let the playlist continue automatically.

Privacy & Visibility

Tracks displayed on your Music profile view respect your visibility settings:

  • Public Tracks: Visible to everyone
  • Friends-Only Tracks: Only visible to users who are friends with you
  • Subscriber-Only Tracks: Only visible to users with active paid subscriptions

Visitors will only see tracks they have permission to access based on your settings and their relationship to you.

Connect Options

The Music profile view includes a Connect section that allows visitors to:

  • Add as Friend: Send a friend request to connect
  • Subscribe: Subscribe to support you (even if already friends, visitors can still subscribe for financial support)
  • Send Message: Direct message you
  • Recommend: Recommend you to their friends

Switching Away from Music View

You can switch to a different profile view at any time:

  1. Go to Profile Settings
  2. Select a different profile view (Nostalgic, Photo Centric, Writing, or Clean)
  3. Save your changes

Your tracks will still be accessible through the Music tab on your profile, even if you're not using the Music profile view layout.

Tip: The Music profile view is perfect for artists who primarily create music content. It creates a cohesive, professional presentation of your work and makes it easy for listeners to explore your entire catalog. Consider organizing your tracks by creating them in the order you want them to appear, or use descriptions to guide listeners through your music journey.
