Discovering music on LavishMade is easy and intuitive. Whether you're browsing all tracks, exploring artists' profiles, or finding music through your feed, there are multiple ways to find new sounds that match your taste.

The Global Music Page

The main Music page (/music) is your starting point for discovering music:

• All Tracks: Browse all public music tracks from artists across LavishMade
• Record Store Layout: Beautiful card-based grid layout showcasing cover art and track info
• Filtered by Access: You'll see tracks you have permission to access (public tracks plus friends-only and subscriber-only tracks from artists you're connected to)
• Direct Access: Click any track to go to its dedicated player page

Note: The Music page respects visibility settings - you'll only see tracks you're allowed to access based on your relationship with each artist.

Through Your Feed

Music tracks automatically appear in your feed:

• Subscribed Artists: When artists you subscribe to post new tracks, they appear in your feed
• Favorited Tracks: When someone favorites a track, it may appear in feeds
• Friends' Activity: See tracks that your friends are listening to or interacting with

Tracks in feeds use a compact, Spotify-style layout that's optimized for browsing and quick listening.

Artist Profiles

Visit artists' profiles to explore their full catalog:

• Music Profile View: Artists using the Music profile layout showcase all their tracks in one dedicated space
• Music Tab: All artists have a Music tab on their profile showing all their tracks
• Auto-Play Playlists: On music profiles, tracks automatically play in sequence, creating a seamless listening experience
• All Tracks Together: See everything an artist has shared in one place

To visit an artist's music section, look for the "Music" tab on their profile, or visit /u/[artist-username]/music.

Genre and Mood Tags

Genre and mood tags help you find music that matches your preferences:

• Visual Tags: Tracks display genre and mood tags as visual badges
• Integrated with Tags System: Genre and mood tags work with LavishMade's tagging system for discovery
• Filtering: Use tags to identify tracks that match what you're looking for
• Multiple Tags: Tracks can have both a genre (e.g., "Indie Rock") and a mood (e.g., "Energetic")

While browsing, look for tracks with tags that match your musical interests. Tags help you quickly identify whether a track might be something you'd enjoy.

Following Artists

Subscribe to artists to keep up with their new releases:

• Free Subscriptions: Subscribe to artists for free to see their new tracks in your feed
• Paid Subscriptions: Subscribe to paid tiers to access exclusive, subscriber-only tracks
• Notifications: Get notified when artists you follow post new tracks
• Profile Access: Easy access to artists' profiles and music sections

To subscribe to an artist, visit their profile and click the "Subscribe" button, or find the subscribe option on their music profile page.

Favoriting Tracks

Favoriting tracks helps you:

• Save for Later: Heart tracks you love to easily find them again
• Support Artists: Show appreciation for tracks you enjoy
• Curate Your Collection: Build a personal collection of favorite tracks
• Feed Algorithm: Help personalize your feed based on your preferences

Click the heart icon on any track to favorite it. You can favorite tracks from the Music page, artist profiles, or directly from your feed.

Play Counts

Play counts can help you discover popular tracks:

• Engagement Indicator: Higher play counts often indicate tracks that resonate with listeners
• Discover New Hits: Browse tracks with high play counts to find what others are enjoying
• Support Artists: Playing tracks helps artists build their play counts and visibility

Play counts are displayed on track cards, giving you a sense of which tracks are getting the most attention.

Sharing and Recommendations

Discover music through social sharing:

• Reposts: See tracks that others have reposted to their feeds
• Comments: Check comments on tracks to see what others are saying
• Shares: Friends or artists you follow may share tracks they love
• Messages: Receive music recommendations from friends via direct messages
