Understanding Button States

Active State (Gold Border)

When a button has a gold border () and filled icon, it means that action is currently active:

  • Watchlist: Item is in your watchlist
  • Watched: Item is on your shelf
  • Reviewed: You have a written review
  • Liked: Item is in your favorites

Inactive State (Gray Border)

When a button has a gray border and outlined icon, it means that action is not currently active. Click the button to activate it.

Quick Tips

  • Buttons update instantly when you click them—no page refresh needed
  • You'll see toast notifications when items are added to or removed from your watchlist
  • The "Watched" button reflects your shelf status, so it will show as active if the item is on your shelf in any status
  • For TV shows, you can review the entire series or individual episodes
  • All actions are saved automatically—your changes persist across sessions

Watchlist Deep Dive

When you add items to your watchlist, they're automatically organized in a special system-generated deep dive called "Watchlist". You can:

  • View all your watchlist items in one place
  • The watchlist uses a compact list layout for easy browsing
  • Items are automatically removed from your watchlist when you mark them as "Finished Watching"
  • Access your watchlist from your deep dives section

Pro Tip: Use the Watchlist button to quickly save films and TV shows you want to watch later. When you're ready to watch, click "Watched" to mark it as finished, and it will automatically be removed from your watchlist while staying on your shelf.
