Initial Status Options

When adding an item, you'll choose an initial status:

  • Currently: You're actively reading, watching, or listening right now
  • Want to: You want to read, watch, or listen to this in the future
  • Finished: You've completed this item

You can change the status later by editing the item on your shelf.

Tips for Adding Items

  • Use the search function to find items accurately—this ensures proper metadata
  • If an item isn't found in search, you may need to check spelling or try alternative titles
  • You can add the same item multiple times if you want to track multiple viewings/readings
  • Add notes when adding items to remember why you wanted to check something out
  • Set privacy appropriately—some items you might want to keep private

Tip: If you're adding an item you've already finished, you can set the status to "Finished" and optionally add a "Finished On" date. This will create a diary entry automatically, helping you build a complete history of your cultural consumption.
