Deep Dive Layout Options
Choose from different layout options to control how your Deep Dive collection is displayed. Each layout offers a unique visual presentation optimized for different types of content and use cases.
Standard Layout
The Standard layout is our default option, perfect for most Deep Dives. It features:
- Full card display with complete item information
- Rich metadata including titles, authors, descriptions, and notes
- Perfect for research projects and detailed collections
- Great for Deep Dives where context and notes are important
- Ideal for sharing comprehensive information about each item
Best for: Research projects, reading lists with notes, collections where you want to share detailed information about each item.
Compact List Layout
The Compact List layout creates a grid of posters or thumbnails with small captions:
- Grid of poster-style images or thumbnails
- Small captions below each item
- Dense, scannable display
- Perfect for visual browsing
- Great for sharing on social media
Best for: Movie lists, book collections, visual galleries, shareable grids, collections where the visual is more important than detailed notes.
Masonry Grid Layout
The Masonry Grid layout creates a Pinterest-style staggered tile display:
- Staggered, flowing grid of items
- Items stack vertically like masonry bricks
- Optimized for visual content with varying heights
- Creates an organic, dynamic feel
- Great for browsing and discovery
Best for: Visual collections, photo galleries, inspiration boards, Pinterest-style curation, collections with lots of images.
Flipbook Layout
The Flipbook layout creates a zine-style page-flipping experience:
- Page-by-page navigation like a physical zine or magazine
- One item per page with immersive focus
- Interactive page-flip animation
- Perfect for storytelling and sequential presentation
- Creates a unique, curated reading experience
Best for: Zines, sequential stories, curated experiences, collections where order matters, artistic presentations.
How to Change Your Layout
- Open your Deep Dive
- Look for the "Layout" section near the top of the page
- Click on the current layout name to see options
- Select the layout that best fits your content
- Save your changes
- Note: Changing to Flipbook layout will redirect you to the edit page
Layout Best Practices
- Choose Standard for detailed research and comprehensive collections
- Use Compact List for visual collections like movie or book lists
- Select Masonry Grid for image-heavy collections and inspiration boards
- Pick Flipbook for sequential storytelling and zine-style presentations
- You can change layouts at any time to experiment with different presentations
