Profile Layout Options

Your profile layout determines how your content is displayed to visitors. Choose from different timeline views that match your style and what you want to showcase.

Nostalgic View (Default)

The Nostalgic view is our default option, perfect for most users. It features:

  • Classic social platform profile experience
  • Mixed view of posts, blogs, photos, and more
  • Familiar timeline layout
  • Great for general use and sharing all types of content
  • Perfect if you want a balanced, traditional profile

Content Display Options

When using Nostalgic view, you can choose how your content is organized:

Split (Tabbed View)
  • Content separated by tabs (Posts, Blog Posts, Deep Dives)
  • Switch between different content types
  • Each content type has its own section
  • Default option

Best for: Users who want to keep different content types clearly separated and easy to navigate.

Unified (Single Stream)
  • All content mixed together in one chronological feed
  • Posts, blogs, and other content appear together
  • Single scrolling timeline
  • Everything in chronological order

Best for: Users who want all their content in one unified feed, similar to a traditional social media timeline.

Best for: Users who want a classic social media experience with a mix of all content types. Great for general users who share posts, blogs, photos, and more.

Photo Centric View

The Photo Centric view makes photos the star of your profile. Choose from two styles:

Gallery View

  • Albums first - organized photo collections
  • Full resolution images
  • Full control over photo organization
  • Perfect for photographers and visual artists

Best for: Photographers, visual artists, and anyone who wants to showcase their photos in organized albums.

Grid View

  • Photos first - uses LavishMade's photo grid as your main timeline
  • Clean, scannable grid layout
  • Perfect for visual browsing
  • Great for sharing photo collections

Best for: Users who primarily share photos and want a clean, Instagram-style grid as their main profile view.

Writing View

The Writing view makes your written content the main focus:

  • Writing displayed upfront and elegantly
  • Perfect for bloggers, writers, and content creators
  • Emphasizes your blog posts and written thoughts
  • Clean, reading-focused layout

Best for: Writers, bloggers, journalists, and anyone who wants their written content to be the primary focus of their profile.

Clean View

The Clean view offers a minimalist experience:

  • Ideas and thoughts first
  • Pure content, no algorithms
  • Authentic human connection
  • Minimalist, distraction-free design
  • Focus on meaningful content over visual noise

Best for: Users who prefer a minimalist, content-focused experience. Perfect for those who want to emphasize ideas and authentic connection over visual presentation.

Music View

The Music view creates a dedicated space for showcasing your original music tracks:

  • All your tracks displayed together in a record store-inspired layout
  • Horizontal track listings with cover art and player controls
  • Auto-continue playlists that seamlessly play tracks one after another
  • Perfect for musicians and artists sharing original work
  • Professional music showcase presentation
  • Genre and mood tags for easy discovery

Best for: Musicians, artists, and anyone who creates and shares original music. Perfect for creating a dedicated music presence on LavishMade.

Note: The Music profile view option only appears in your settings if you have published at least one music track. To create music tracks, use the Music Mode toggle in the Posts composer.

How to Change Your Profile Layout

  1. Go to your profile settings (click your profile picture, then "Edit Profile")
  2. Scroll to the "Timeline View" section
  3. Select the layout that best matches your style
  4. If you choose Photo Centric, select either Gallery or Grid view
  5. Save your changes
  6. Your profile will update immediately

Layout Best Practices

  • Choose Nostalgic if you share a mix of content types
  • Select Photo Centric if photos are your main content
  • Pick Writing View if you're primarily a writer or blogger
  • Use Clean View for a minimalist, content-focused experience
  • Choose Music View if you're an artist sharing original music tracks
  • You can change layouts at any time to experiment
  • Consider what you want visitors to see first when they visit your profile

Tip: Your profile layout is the first thing visitors see. Choose the layout that best represents your content and style. You can always change it later if your focus shifts!
