Private Blog Posts
Private blog posts are posts that only you can see. They won't appear on your public blog or in anyone else's feed, but you can still access and view them yourself. This is perfect for personal notes, drafts, or content you want to keep private.
How to Create a Private Blog Post
- While creating or editing a blog post, scroll to the visibility settings
- Select "Only Me" or "Visible to Self" from the visibility options
- Write your blog post content as normal
- Click "Publish" or "Save" - the post will be saved as private
Accessing Your Private Blog Posts
You can view your private blog posts:
- Your Blog Dashboard: Private posts appear in your blog management area
- Your Profile: When logged in, you can see private posts on your own profile
- Direct URL: If you have the direct URL, you can access the private post (others cannot)
Important Notes About Private Blog Posts
- Private blog posts are not published to your public blog
- Only you, as the creator, can view private blog posts
- If you share the URL of a private blog post, others will not be able to access it
- Perfect for personal notes, drafts, or content you want to keep to yourself
- You can change a private blog post to public later by editing its visibility settings
- Private posts are different from drafts - they are published but only visible to you
Favorites (Saving for Later)
The heart icon on blog posts isn't a public "like" - it's a way to save content for later. When you click the heart icon on a blog post, you're adding it to your personal favorites collection.
How to Favorite a Blog Post
- Click or tap the heart icon on any blog post
- The heart will fill in with gold to show it's been favorited
- Click it again to unfavorite and remove it from your collection
Viewing Your Favorites
You can view all your favorited blog posts:
- Go to your favorites page and filter by "Blog Posts"
- See all the blog posts you've saved in one place
- Your favorites are private - only you can see what you've saved
Favoriting Tags and Categories
Favoriting isn't just for blog posts - you can also favorite hashtags and interest categories:
- Favorite Hashtags: When you favorite a hashtag, LavishMade will show you more blog posts with that tag in your feed
- Favorite Interests: Favoriting interest categories (like Books, Movies, Art) helps curate your feed with relevant blog posts
- Feed Curation: Your favorited tags and interests help personalize your dashboard feed with blog content you're interested in
This helps LavishMade understand what you're interested in and surface more relevant blog posts in your feed, even from users you don't follow.
