Using Unsplash Images

Unsplash integration makes it easy to find beautiful, high-quality cover photos for your blog posts. All images from Unsplash are free to use and include proper attribution automatically.

How to Use Unsplash

  1. Open your blog post in the editor
  2. In the cover photo section, click "Browse Unsplash" or "Choose from Unsplash"
  3. A searchable gallery of Unsplash images will open
  4. Search for keywords related to your post (e.g., "nature", "technology", "minimal")
  5. Browse through the results and click on an image you like
  6. The image will be automatically added as your cover photo
  7. Attribution will be automatically included at the bottom of your post

Search Tips

  • Use specific keywords for better results (e.g., "sunset beach" instead of just "beach")
  • Try different search terms if you don't find what you're looking for
  • Browse trending images for inspiration
  • Consider your blog's aesthetic when selecting images

Attribution

When you select an image from Unsplash, attribution is automatically added to your blog post. The attribution includes:

  • The photographer's name
  • A link to their Unsplash profile
  • Proper formatting that complies with Unsplash's license requirements

The attribution appears at the bottom of your blog post automatically, so you don't need to worry about adding it manually.

Uploading Your Own Images

You can still upload your own cover photos if you prefer:

  1. In the cover photo section, click "Upload"
  2. Select an image from your device
  3. The image will be uploaded and set as your cover photo
  4. You can also add attribution manually if needed

Image Guidelines

  • Cover photos work best with landscape orientation (wider than tall)
  • Recommended dimensions: 1200x630 pixels or similar aspect ratio
  • High-resolution images will look better on all devices
  • Consider how the image will look when cropped for thumbnails

Changing or Removing Cover Photos

You can update your cover photo at any time:

  • Click "Change Cover Photo" in the editor
  • Choose a new image from Unsplash or upload your own
  • To remove the cover photo, click "Remove" in the cover photo section
  • Your changes will be saved when you save the post

Tip: A great cover photo can make your blog post stand out in feeds and encourage readers to click. Take time to find an image that represents your content well and matches your brand aesthetic.
