Jolie Elizabeth Scalfano's "Thoughts"
Locals- don’t sleep on the Half n’ Half off Pennsylvania Avenue! It’s the BEST resale store. I just had a $890.00 total and with their coupons I paid $12.00! INSANE. I got SO many new sweaters for fall from Anthropologie, High end brands, & Y2K brands. I also scored some real leather boots for $2 bucks. I love H.N.H because it’s not “thrifting” (meaning everything has tags still and they bulk buy from big retailers after holidays n such - NO DONATIONS) and everything is super clean opposed to Goodwill or something like such, + the prices are SO low. It’s my thrifting store secret….so don’t tell. Go get yourself some new fall goodies. 🧣🧥

Controversial Question for my friends ☞ Is it WEIRD for us adults to go trick-or-treating on Halloween? I have my opinion and I’ll share it later in a blog post, but I’m curious on your opinions and thoughts!

The “ber” months are here. I’m looking forward to cold weather, new adventures, & the holidays. I can’t believe it’s almost Halloween! This year has flown by so ridiculously fast. I’m setting up the next few months to focus on the following - Slow living - Making a point to wake up early - Having at least one get together or dinner with friends a week - Enjoying outside time - Remembering to have music playing at most points of the day - and lastly, focusing on the little things. ⫷ What makes me happy? what improves the space around me? what can I do for others to make them feel their best?, what things can I do in the present that would impact my future positively?, what do I have control over right now in the present? ⫸ Q: What are your goals through the “ber” months?

Quick thought….. I’ve been searching, listening, and rating different podcasts for about a week. My conclusion is that most podcasters are trying to have the same “vibe”. No realness, no realistic values, etc. It’s a lot of money hungry pyramid-scheme type people that have managed to get a big audience and platform. I’ve been playing with the idea of starting my own podcast/show. For real people with realistic values. Bringing on creators, musicians, artists, friends, etc. Interviewing the local businesses, hosting I.R.L sessions, etc. I think it would be SO fun. I’m looking for a co-host & some of your ideas on logistics. Let me know if you would be interested in diving into this world together!

Breakfast with friends, a toddler who’s napping, & roughly two hours to steam clean my floorboards. Happy Saturday! Let’s do this. 🧼

Chicken noodle soup on the stove, brownies in the oven, a perfectly clean house, a lit fall candle, & a baby playing in the kitchen sink. Life is good. 🍂🐓

6am Monday wake up call. I’m up, got ready, made coffee in the drip, and now I’m cleaning the kitchen before the husband wakes up for his first day of work. Todays plans are working out, a trip to the library, and getting some house things done. It’s my first official day as a SAHM! 🍂❤️
