Drag Me to Hell

Drag Me to Hell 2009

I’ve heard Drag Me to Hell called “not Raimi’s best,” but honestly, it’s such a blast. It’s scary, it’s hilarious, it’s downright disgusting... these are all the things we love about Raimi packed into one film. It might not be his best, but it never disappoints.

WHAT A RIDE!!

Child's Play

Child's Play 1988

Watched 03 Oct 2025

Directed by Tom Holland (no, not Spider-Man), is a solid piece of late-80s horror that balances dark tension with outrageous fun. Holland, who also made one of my all-time favorites, Fright Night, helps tell a story that’s both unsettling and playful. The film leans into its absurd premise without losing the creepy energy that makes it memorable. And those one-liners... Some of the best of all time.

Haunt Season

Haunt Season 2024

I’m probably just a sucker for these kinds of low-budget indie horror movies, but this one was a blast. At one point two characters argue about the haunted house.. one claims it’s supposed to be scary, the other says it’s supposed to be fun. That sums the whole film up. The lighting is basically non-existent, but the sound design is strong and the camerawork never pulls you out of the story. It just proves that as long as you’ve got a story to tell, you’ve got a movie worth watching.

The Monkey

The Monkey 2025

This movie was hilarious and just a wild chaotic mess of a film in the best way possible. I also am so glad that it was actually about a Monkey... could you imagine if it was called the monkey had nothing to do with a monkey.
