Using Your Link Tree

Your link tree is your personal hub for all the important links you want to share with the world. Think of it as a beautiful, customizable landing page where you can showcase your website, social media profiles, projects, and anything else you want people to discover. Perfect for sharing in your bio, on business cards, or anywhere you need one link that leads to everything.

What is a Link Tree?

A link tree is a single page that displays all your important links in one place. Instead of trying to fit multiple links in your social media bio or email signature, you create one link that opens to a beautiful page with all your links organized and ready to click.

Getting Started: Adding Your First Link

Creating your link tree is simple and fun. Here's how to add your first link:

1. Go to your dashboard and click "Edit Links" in your profile header, or navigate to the Link Tree Management page
2. Click the "Add Link" button at the top of the page
3. Fill in the link details:
   • Title: The name that will appear on your link tree (e.g., "My Website", "Instagram", "Portfolio")
   • URL: The full web address you want to link to (make sure to include https://)
   • Description: Optional text that appears below the title to give context
   • Privacy: Choose who can see this link (visible to all, subscribers only, or just you)
4. Click "Create Link" to save it
5. Repeat to add more links!

Customizing Your Link Tree Template

Make your link tree uniquely yours with our customization options. On the Link Tree Management page, you'll find the Template Settings section where you can:

Template Name

Give your link tree a custom name that appears at the top of the page. This could be your name, brand, or a catchy phrase like "My Links" or "Connect With Me".

Background Options

Choose from three background types:

• Gradient: A smooth color gradient that transitions between shades
• Solid Color: A single solid color background
• Image: Upload your own image or choose from beautiful Unsplash photos

For images, you can either upload your own photo or browse Unsplash's collection of high-quality, free images. If you use an Unsplash image, proper attribution will be automatically added.

Text Colors

Choose the text color that works best with your background:

• White: Perfect for dark backgrounds
• Black: Great for light backgrounds
• Gold: Our signature LavishMade gold for a luxurious look

Link Styles

Choose how your links appear on the page:

• Rounded: Classic rounded corners for a modern look
• Square: Sharp, clean edges
• Minimal: Simple and clean with minimal styling
• Ripped Paper: A unique torn paper edge effect
• Glassmorphism: A frosted glass effect with transparency
• Neon: Glowing edges for a bold, vibrant look
• Vintage: A retro, aged paper aesthetic

Don't forget to click "Save Template" after making your changes!

Reordering Your Links

Want to change the order of your links? It's easy with drag-and-drop:

1. On the Link Tree Management page, find the link you want to move
2. Click and hold the drag handle (the icon with horizontal lines) on the left side of the link
3. Drag it up or down to your desired position
4. Release to drop it in the new position
5. The order is saved automatically!

Tip: Put your most important links at the top so visitors see them first.

Sharing Your Link Tree

Once you've set up your links, it's time to share your link tree with the world! Your link tree URL is:

You can find your exact URL at the top of the Link Tree Management page. Click the "Copy" button to copy it to your clipboard, then paste it anywhere you want to share it:

• Social media bios (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.)
• Email signatures
• Business cards
• QR codes
• Your LavishMade profile
• Anywhere else you want people to find all your links!

Privacy Settings for Links

Each link can have its own privacy setting, giving you control over who can see what:

• Visible to All: Anyone who visits your link tree can see and click this link
• Visible to Subscribers: Only people who subscribe to you can see this link
• Visible to Self: Only you can see this link - perfect for personal notes or links you're not ready to share yet

You can change a link's privacy setting at any time by editing the link.

Viewing Your Link Tree

Want to see how your link tree looks to visitors? Click the "Preview" button at the top of the Link Tree Management page. This opens your link tree in a new tab so you can see exactly how it appears to others.

Tracking Link Clicks

When you're logged in and viewing your own link tree, you can see how many times each link has been clicked. This helps you understand which links are most popular and which ones might need better placement or descriptions.

Click counts are only visible to you - visitors won't see this information.

Tips for an Effective Link Tree

• Keep it Focused: Don't overwhelm visitors with too many links. 5-10 well-chosen links is usually perfect
• Prioritize: Put your most important links (like your main website or portfolio) at the top
• Use Clear Titles: Make it obvious what each link leads to. "My Portfolio" is better than "Click Here"
• Add Descriptions: Short descriptions help visitors understand what they'll find when they click
• Match Your Brand: Customize colors and styles to match your personal or professional brand
• Update Regularly: Keep your links current. Remove old projects and add new ones as you create
• Test Your Links: Periodically check that all your links still work

Editing and Deleting Links

Need to update a link? On the Link Tree Management page, you'll see edit and delete icons next to each link:

• Edit: Click the pencil icon to change the title, URL, description, or privacy setting
• View: Click the eye icon to see the link in action (opens in a new tab)
• Delete: Click the trash icon to permanently remove a link (you'll be asked to confirm)
