My child has been called many names given her uncommon name. It unfortunately is a word in the English language that I feel should be widely known, it’s a common fabric, but people really have a hard time reading it… today’s pronunciation from doc office “Sue-Day”…..“sway-day” is our most favorite, Sue-day was insulting. Guess her name 🥲 I lose hope in humanity everytime it’s read wrong and think more people should practice reading more often. Totally get name mispronunciation, but it’s actually a word 🥹

I feel like doctors offices are also oddly equipped at just not being able to read names correctly. It's got to be part of the job requirements.

I wish it was something super special, but I used to pick up a girl from school and I guess in a way it’s an homage to her. I’d bring her home everyday, and it was actually during a very low point in my life in the beginning lol but by the end of that year I started dating my now husband and she was breaking out of her very shy anxious shell and we’d have the best times just being girls together. For that whole year we saw eachother at all times lows and highs! Our little 20 minute daily car ride was so special and her brother’s name was Swayed, I always thought it was unique and thought I’d like to use it one day. I never did foresee me changing it to Suede but it somehow happened and stuck!

When she was born, I showed my husband her name! We thought it was so unique and precious. But yes! It's a word...in the English language. Why are some people over complicating it!? What is Sue-Day!? OMG!!
