Lives up to the hype for me. Still a somewhat rote exercise in psychological horror in broader terms of story, but all the specifics that make a film what it is -- acting, shot composition, lighting, dialogue, music -- make it an impressive debut for its director. I'd watch it again. Preferably in a large audience rather than the empty theater I saw this in. It's a crowd movie.
