First time properly watching as an adult, and I understand the criticisms levied against it now. Despite this, I get so many warm fuzzies from many moments in this picture, but I also realize that it's because I've tied to it a part of me that is a safe, naive kid who was overly trusting to media. My mom always loved New York in Christmastime, so we kept this in rotation more than the first Home Alone.
It's iconic, but it's also tonally uneven, irresponsible, and tries to have it all.
