Happy Thursday! It’s been almost a full week since the LavishMade IRL launch party. I’ve let the week settle, and I’m ready to recap & tell you about all things LavishMade!

Last friday, LavishMade IRL hosted its first and only launch party at The Lume. 
It was the coolest little locally owned event space. Beautiful, spacious, & fit our vibe perfectly.  The launch party was fantastic! We had a good handful of people come out to support us. 

We mingled, we danced - goodnight nurse! We danced SO much!, we ate great food, & we were able to make IRL human connections with our community & supporters. 

Amazing humans who see potential in LavishMade, good people who support all things local and making sure human connection isn’t lost, & folks who are just as excited as we are about the future of social media platforms.  

The two creative souls behind lavishMade, Co founders - Matt Gering (CEO) and Jeff Richardson (COO/CTO) have been working on building this community for the strict purpose of bringing back what we loved about old social media so much. Before toxic algorithms, A.I, & the production of mindless scrolling. The focus is simple. To give back what was lost.

Creating, human connection, and being proud of YOU. YOUR vibe. 

Your niche interests are brought to the light here. It’s so important to have that space of feeling safe from judgement & feeling excited to create. Whether it’s a blog post, adding niche things to a Deep Dive, or simply updating your current status. LavishMade offers so many features to explore, and we’re always adding cool new things too! 

We have a lot of updates being pushed everyday to improve user experience, as well as tech functions & feature exploring. The best part - it's ALL HUMAN MADE! No A.I here.  

Just real, down-to-earth humans who test & create from the users point of view. 

During the launch party, I spoke to Jorge Grisales (Member of the Oklahoma Latin American Film Festival Advisory Board) who shared a few encouraging words with me about LavishMade. He made LavishMade IRL feel propitious!

After a few shared words of encouragement and a friendly hug, I felt so empowered! People are LOVING LavishMade. Connecting with the local community here in OKC has been amazing. Friendly faces, good people. What more could you ask for as a smaller start up?

I was brought on as the IRL & Community Coordinator here for LavishMade a little bit ago. I’ve loved my opportunity and growth here in just a few weeks! My goal for IRL is to establish that human connection IN REAL LIFE. Not only through just a screen. I want LavishMade to feel copied and pasted to the flesh.

Having fun and creative events for the community and for your friends is the goal! 

Human connection is a lost art in 2025. We have so many robots & A.I systems that can literally do anything and everything for you. Remember the 90s? Early 2000s? When you had to be the creator? A.I didn’t exist, so we had to use brain power and live colorfully.

 Let’s bring it back!  From craft-alongs, to live music, to a cooking class or ASL class, you can be the host of anything your heart desires here through IRL.
